Northern Mockingbird
(Mimus polyglottos)

Mockingbirds make up the genera Mimus, Melanotis, and Mimodes of the family Mimidae.

One of the best ways to recognize the Northern Mockingbird as shown by  picture at the left, is that they expand their wings when they are looking for food.

Mature size: 9 inches.

State bird of Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.

Gray Catbird
 (Dumetella carolinensis) 
  A North American songbird.

The gray catbird is about 23 cm (about 9 in) long and is slate gray except for a black crown and tail and a chestnut-colored region under the tail.

  Frequent visitor to a Mulberry tree when its fruits are ripe. Also likes Beef Suet and insects.

The Gray Catbird is famous for making cat like meow's.
