Mourning Dove AKA Turtle Dove
Zenaida macroura

It is the most common North American dove. It's color is:  a brown body, bluish-gray wings, and a long, white-tipped tail and a wingspan of 17 to 19 inches.

Information: It's song is considered to be a slow, moaning coo-ah-coo, coo, coo. 

Lives throughout the U.S. and is a year round resident in Maryland.

The laws in more then 30 states classify it as a game bird, and it is a close relative of the extinct Passenger Pigeon.
