One of the smallest chickadee's at 4½ inches long.

It's common to the State of Maryland all year long.

It's call, kind of sounds like chicka-dee-dee-dee. Food: Sunflower seeds.

The sexes are much alike Blue - Gray back, dark cap, white face and breast. Long, dagger like bill. Size:5"

It's call is a low yank-yank

They are the only tree-climbing birds that move head downward. They feed by probing tree bark for insects, larvae, or eggs.

Food:  They will visit feeding stations to get suet, peanuts, sunflower seeds and hearts.
